Common questions answered here:

What is Fascial Unwinding?

Fascial Unwinding (CFT) is a form of facilitated movement that unwinds the fascia and promotes balance within the body. It is not massage or physical therapy. Our trained Facilitators know how to find the area of blocked fascia and work with your body to unwind

it.

How does the Fascia get tight?

The fascia becomes tights through almost everything. The food we eat, the cars we drive, the phones we use, our lifestyle is no longr in support of balance. Other ways our fascia becomes tight is through trauma. Car accidents, falls, birth, and so much more. Bound fascia creates a list of symptoms in or body and creates dis-ease of the body. Its all about Fascia First,  as Kalei says.

What should I wear and does it hurt?

Clients remain fully clothed and should wear clothes they are comfortable moving in. Please be mindful of strong perfumes/oils. This healing modality should not hurt, at times it may feel uncomfortable as we bring the years of bound fascia to the surface. The beauty and uniqueness of this modality is it is your body doing the healing. Facilitators are here to listen, guide, and support it in the right direction.

How long is a session?

Sessions are 40-45m long. The reason is once your body has released it needs the proper time to process and restore. Anything longer than this can cause more strain on the fascia.

How will I feel after?

Most clients feel amazing and free after their sessions. Sometimes you can feel a little sore the next day- this is just your muscles waking up again and your joints becomming mobile. Sometimes you can feel tired with a headache, this is due to the strain patterns opening and toxins releasing. The real work happens in between the sessions, how you hydrate and move on a regular bases. Hydration comes in forms of water and high fatty foods and castor oil.
